Located south of the centre near Södervärn bus station, Bosses Gästvåningar is a basic hostel with single and twin rooms spread over two floors.

This is not the prettiest part of town but it’s really easy to catch buses from here to the Central Station, the Turning Torso and the beach.

Bright, cheery and with shared facilities, the rooms aren’t bad value. Well, not until you add in the price for bed sheets, which cost 60 SEK per person to rent. And unless you want to tidy up after yourself on check out, you’ll also have to pay 85 SEK per room for cleaning. By the time you’ve added up all of these charges, you would easily be able to get an en-suite room closer to the centre, perhaps even with breakfast included. (Comfort Hotel and Scandic St Jörgen both do cheap deals.)

But if you need the flexibility of a hostel, like having access to a self-catering kitchen, for example, this is an okay choice. It’s clean, and there’s a sociable if old-fashioned TV room with a balcony for smokers. Bedrooms with space for three or four guests are also available.
