Soups and salads

6 Overall

The name of this small and cosy café translates to ‘the soup’ but it also has a regularly updated menu of more substantial lunches, plus wine and beer.

Soppan get very busy around midday, when office workers and young mums and dads on parental leave drop in for a chat and something to eat.

There are always a few different soups on offer, including unusual mixes like fish soup with aioli and cauliflower with bacon and peanuts.

Soppan in Stockholm

A new veggie soup is served up every week and there’s normally at least one meat-free main, if you fancy something more filling than soup.

We tried the Thai green curry, which didn’t taste much like anything we’ve ever eaten in Thailand, so we’d recommend sticking to simple Swedish flavours if you can. Plates of homemade meatballs with mashed potato and lingonberries are served up daily for 95 SEK.
