Café Fix

Faded glory

This friendly place is said to be Stockholm’s longest-running café. Its heyday was in the 30s and 40s, but unfortunately few of the café’s original features are left.

Those that do remain are drowned out by modern Coca-Cola ads, pop music and a TV screen showing non-stop commercials.

However, the coffee at Café Fix isn’t bad and there are some lovely homemade muffins to sink your teeth into.

Also on offer are big, fresh sandwiches stuffed with ingredients like mozzarella and salami, and Mexican lunches like nachos and burritos.

Healthy breakfasts are also sold here and even if you eat quite a lot, you’ll struggle to spend more than about 120 SEK per person.

Unfortunately there’s a real shortage of great places to eat in this part of Kungsholmen, but if you get hungry while you’re exploring then this is a reasonable option to fall back on.
