Be prepared for a spectacle of hilarious and heart-warming performances at the unique Klovnifestivali Punainen Helmi. This international feminist clown festival takes place in the Hurjaruuth Dance Theatre in Helsinki’s Cable Factory district.
It’s a one-of-a-kind event that has been spreading laughter since its inception in 2012, attracting both local and international clown artists to Helsinki.
With a strong focus on female talent, the festival welcomes a diverse range of performers. And since its debut, it has hosted big names such as Pepa Plana, Nola Rae, Deanna Fleysher, Tanja Simma, Stacey Sacks, Marta Carbayo, Angela de Castro, Gardi Hutter, Colette Gomette and many more.
It’s not just about red noses and oversized shoes, but about the artistry, creativity and humanity behind the laughter. And it’s an art from where language is no barrier, so perfect if Finnish is not your first language!
Ticket prices vary for different performances and can be bought online in advance or at the door.
