Need a break from the city? This guided nature hike from Stockholm gives you the chance to stretch your legs and enjoy some classic Swedish countryside, with all the scenic lakes and enchanting forests you’d expect.

This is a small group tour, limited to a maximum of 3–5 participants. Led by a knowledgeable guide, it will take you to some of the prettiest hiking areas near Stockholm, where you might get the opportunity to see moose, deer and plenty of birdlife, including three-toed woodpeckers. Depending on the time of year, you may also be able to try wild berries and mushrooms as you wander through the forest.

The tour starts when you meet your guide in Stockholm, who will give you more information about the day’s itinerary. You’ll then be driven 30 minutes south to a beautiful nature reserve, where you’ll learn about the area’s history, geology and wildlife.

That’s when you and your guide will start exploring, visiting virgin forest, beaver dams, some spectacular viewpoints and several beautiful lakes. Midway through the day you’ll stop for a well-earned campfire lunch!

How challenging is the walking?

The hike starts on easy accessible paths. You’ll use the reserve’s main roads to get from one interesting point to another, and from there you will go off track, deeper into nature. A moderate level of fitness is required.

Who can join?

Group tours are not suitable for children below the age of 14, but during private tours there is no age limit (please contact us if you would like to discuss a private tour).
