Are you ready to discover Oslo’s most charming festival? Piknik i Parken (Picnic in the Park) puts the focus on creating a happy, intimate atmosphere, with lots of delicious food and drink to accompany the music.
Taking place in Sofienbergparken, in the hip district of Grünerløkka, it’s a family-friendly kind of festival – so much so that kids under 12 enter for free when accompanied by a parent.
Expect to see plenty of bunting and a sea of picnic blankets as families settle down on the grass to eat, socialise and listen to the big-name artists that grace the festival’s three stages.
In recent years, acts booked for Piknik i Parken include Busta Rhymes and The 1975. This year’s line-up includes Faithless, Aurora and Leftfield.
You can either buy a day-pass which starts at NOK 1200 or enjoy the full three days with a festival pass (NOK 2495).
