Held in a leafy park in central Oslo, Øyafestivalen is renowned for its eclectic mix of established stars and emerging talent. In recent years, the festival has managed to pull in big international artists like Blur and Lorde, as well as homegrown heroes like Sigrid.

Whether you’re a fan of heavy rock, sleek pop, experimental electronica, or traditional Nordic folk, Øyafestivalen is always worth a visit. Kids under 12 can also visit for free, and there are discounted tickets for those aged 12–17. The day before the festival starts is known as ‘Club day’, with sneak-peek gigs taking place at smaller venues around the city.
