Ready for a Scandinavian version of the classic Bavarian booze-up? Oslo’s Oktoberfest is set to be plenty of fun. There will be beer and lederhosen (obviously) and the drinking will be accompanied by the upbeat tunes of a proper Tyrolean Orchestra.

This Oktoberfest is mainly a daytime bash, with doors opening at 3pm on weekdays and noon on the Saturdays, and you’ll need to reserve a table early to get a good spot.

You’ll inevitably want something to soak up that beer, and the organisers have arranged lots of snacks and classic sharing platters: think pork knuckles, wurst, chicken and sauerkraut. Tacos are also on the menu, for those who want to spice things up a bit.

Note: Oktoberfest Oslo takes place on three separate groups of days across October, so be sure to book tickets for the right date! The 2024 dates are 10–12th, 17–19th and 24–26th October.
