For decades, the Jazz at Skansen event has been a summer staple, filling Stockholm’s historic open-air museum with a vibrant blend of Swedish and international jazz performances. Aimed at jazz fans of all ages, the festival is held across six consecutive Wednesday evenings throughout July and August.

Known for its eclectic line-up, the event broadcasts a wonderful array of jazz styles, from traditional to contemporary, with performances from established musicians as well as emerging talents.

Check the website for details of the 2024 line-up, but in 2023 artists performing included Nils Landgren, Magnus Lindgren, Lisa Nilsson and Harry Allen.

Oozing with culture and history, Skansen itself adds to the ambiance as the open-air museum transforms into an atmospheric venue and provides a lovely backdrop to the jazz-filled evening.
