Independent Indigenous Festival

12:00am – 12:00am

Set in an idyllic nature reserve in the Stockholm archipelago, but just 50 minutes from the city, the Independent Indigenous Festival is a four-day event that brings together culturally aware communities, artists and creatives from around the globe.

Known for its fusion of traditional and new age cultures, the festival celebrates a community of people from different backgrounds but with common interests of wildlife, nature, travel, music, storytelling, sound, art and holistic health.

Performances of music and visual arts take centre stage, alongside a film premiere screening and hands-on workshops. Acts for 2024 include El Búho and dragonslayer-tekno pioneer, Ohmar.

Aimed at promoting personal self-discovery, the sessions range from traditional practices such as yoga and kung fu, to more modern practices like sound healing and non-violent communication.

The Independent Indigenous Festival is a coming together of a global community, united by a shared love of nature, wildlife, music, storytelling and art. In order to attend the non-profit festival, you need to become a member which costs 200 SEK.

So if you’re ready for a transformative cultural experience in one of Sweden’s most beautiful locations, check out the Independent Indigenous Festival. for a celebration of heritage unlike anything you’ve experienced before.
