Experience the best that Swedish Lapland has to offer – including an adrenaline-pumping snowmobile tour and a chance to see the northern lights – on this epic four-day tour from Stockholm.
With multiple departure dates in early 2020, this tour from budget Lapland specialists 90degreesnorth AB includes return flights from Stockholm Arlanda to Kiruna, where a whole lot of adventure awaits!
Here’s what you can expect:
This tour is designed to help you get the most out of a trip to Swedish Lapland, without blowing your budget! The tour includes round-trip flights from Stockholm to Kiruna, as well as transfers to and from the airport in Kiruna.
When you arrive in Swedish Lapland, activities include a snowmobile tour through the landscape on a frozen river and lake to the world-famous Icehotel. It’s a stunning 38km journey along the river to the hotel, where you can choose to explore the amazing art suites which are carved entirely from ice.
You will have the chance to visit the indigenous people of Lapland, the Sami. You can have a chant with them to learn about their culture and enjoy a traditional Sami dish for lunch.
You’ll also get the chance to try your hand at ice fishing, led by a knowledgable instructor, or go on a self-guided cross-country skiing tour. Other highlights include visiting the Arctic Sauna – a one-of-a-kind sauna that floats on a lake – and the oldest Sami church in Swedish Lapland.
If you are up for a party 200km above the Arctic Circle, the Arctic party tent (located in the camp you will be staying at) is the perfect place to hang out at night.
If you’ve ever dreamt of petting some cute husky puppies or fancy feeling the rush of a sled ride, try one of the optional sledging tours – they pass through some amazing winter wonderland scenery that will make your childhood dreams come true!
No winter trip to Swedish Lapland would be complete without at least trying to see the northern lights, and this four-day trip should give you enough time for an unforgettable encounter.
The tour includes cabin standard accommodation for three nights, on a shared-room basis (some with own bathrooms and kitchen, some with a common kitchen and bathroom).
