Would you willingly enter a prison full of tattooed men and women? And what if we tell you that you even have to pay for it?

Doesn’t sound tempting right? But if you’re a true tattoo lover, we promise this will feel more like heaven than hell. After all, you don’t get a much more fitting venue for a tattoo event. The former state prison of Horsens, just an hour’s drive south of Aarhus, will host its 8th international tattoo festival in mid-May.

No less than 250 of the world’s best tattoo artists will be attending the festival – many are local or from neighbouring Scandinavian countries, while others will be making the trip from the USA, Thailand and Iceland, to mention just a few. It’s an excellent chance to add to your own body’s gallery by booking a session with one of the many artists.

Not brave enough to take the needle, but still curious? No worries, it’s perfectly fine to just immerse yourself in the atmosphere while admiring the art of the ink, the street art, the American cars and the live music.
