The Tempo Documentary Festival takes place in Stockholm in March. It’s the largest of its kind in Sweden, so come and hit the play button and enjoy seven inspiring days filled with more than 100 documentaries from across the world.

The festival is not only about the screenings themselves. It also includes everything from photo exhibitions to audio documentaries and transmedia projects, as well as a range of seminars, masterclasses and cocktail parties.

And don’t forget the awards. Ten Swedish documentaries will compete for the prestigious Tempo Documentary Award, with five other categories up for grabs, such as Best Swedish Short Documentary and Best International Documentary.

The festival is hosted at various venues in Stockholm, including the Victoria and Rio cinemas in trendy Södermalm. It attracts around 17,000 visitors each year, with locals and visitors free to enjoy the films  – most of which are subtitled in English.
