Borealis is not your average music festival, but rather an event where the boundaries are pushed with experimental music by both local, national and international artists.

It’s an open-minded festival that embraces a wide range of musical genres with live composers, sound artists and improvising musicians.

From concert halls to warehouse spaces and galleries, the venues will host not only concerts but also film screenings, art installations, talks and workshops.

Big cultural institutions like Cinemateket, Bergen National Opera and Bergen Kunsthall (art hall) will be among the hosts, and tickets can be bought individually for concerts and events, or you can buy the official Festival Pass which covers all five days of music-related entertainment.
