Hey- I’m going to be in Sweden later this month for two weeks (in Sodertalje, near Stockholm). I know its not possible to see the northern lights there but is there anywhere further north in Sweden where I can? Or is it just not possible in May?
    Any tips appreciated!

    Hi Tessa,

Sorry to disappoint but I think you’ll have a hard time spotting the lights. If you go north to the places where the lights usually show up (like Abisko for example) then it’ll be way too light at this time of year to give you much of a chance of seeing the lights. Right now it’s only properly dark for an hour or two each night, so you’d have to get quite lucky to see anything at all.

Best to try again from October–April, if you can… unless you feel like a trip to the south pole 🙂
