I’ve been trying to find out how long the train journey from Gotheburg-Stockholm takes and weather they have food on the trains. I have two little ones and don’t want them to go hungry. Can I bring my own snacks for them?
There’s usually a buffet car on the trains between Sthlm-Gbg, selling sandwiches, baguettes, crisps, chocolate, salads- you can usually get meals too. Some trains don’t have buffet cars though. You can check for definite during the booking process on SJ.se (click the down arrow next to the train time and then look out for the little knife and fork icon). If you don’t see the icon during the booking process, try another train. The X2000 trains (snabbtåg) are usually a safe bet as they normally have buffet cars.
