Even though Restaurang CG is one of Luleå’s most expensive places to eat, it’s incredibly popular during the evening and gets packed to bursting on Fridays and Saturdays.
The food here is smartly presented and draws on lots of ingredients from the northern part of Sweden.
Meaty dishes like reindeer and fresh venison make up a big chunk of the menu, though there are plenty of seafood options too, including scallops and lobster.
These fancy offerings are all backed up by a good wine list, and for other drinks there’s a well-stocked bar with spirits from around the world.
Service was pretty slow when we visited Restaurang CG but in fairness it was extremely busy. A main course here will cost you around 250 SEK, though you could easily chew your way through 700 SEK per person if you went for a three-course meal with drinks.
If you’re planning to eat here at the weekend (or even on a Thursday night), it’s well worth booking a table in advance.
