This annual event, which has been running since 2003, sees thousands of Oslo residents walking along an illuminated trail between Grorudparken and Alnaparken.

Along the way, you’ll be able to stop and enjoy light installations, music from local choirs and musicians, and even refreshments including coffee, waffles and other Norwegian treats.

Groups who will be performing at various points on the trail include the Old Oslo Church Choir, the Vålerenga Women’s Choir, and the Hasle Tut & Blæs marching band.

At the end of the walk there will also be a special light and sound show, where free refreshments will be provided for all comers.

It’s worth noting that you don’t have to walk the whole way to take part. You can find suggestions here as to where to join the trail, and you’ll find fun things to see along the whole route.
