With a ‘Taste the World’ theme, the Tjuvholmen Foodie Festival in downtown Oslo is a new food and drink festival that invites locals and visitors on a journey of flavours. It’s based on the Tjuvholmen peninsula, with its contemporary architecture, public art and international restaurants.
The organisers promise to turn the area into a foodie paradise for a weekend, with a bunch of tasty events and flavours from far-flung corners of the world, like Mexico, Japan, USA, India and Korea.
Friday will feature the “Backpacker Afterwork” event that takes guests on a culinary trip to four different countries, while Saturday will offer a “Dinner Cruise” with five hours of gastronomic experiences at a selection of restaurants. And Sunday? “Brunch Bonanza” of course… with a side of bubbles.
There will also be a range of workshops where you can learn to make everything from tortillas to sushi, or sip your way through a selection of wines, coffee and cocktails.
