Like going to the beach? Enjoy trying new, organic food? Well, a new culinary project in Aarhus is giving you the chance to do both at the same time.
Every day from 11th–31st of July, a team of ‘touring beach cooks’ (De Rullende Strandkokke) will visit a public beach near Aarhus to offer edible, natural experiences in the shallows.
Touring from Skæring Strandpark in the north to Moesgaard in the south, the touring beach chefs will turn up at the seaside with nets and cooking equipment so that you can help to find and prepare the edible beach delicacies.
The beach cooks will be at the signature “Den Permanente” beach looking out to Aarhus Harbour on Wednesdays, as well as at Moesgaard beach on and Thursdays and Sundays. They will also be cooking up a feast at Skæring Strandpark on Mondays and Fridays and Ballehage beach on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Interested? The events will take place from 10am to 3pm each day.
