Now in its 12th year, the independent art fair called Supermarket aims to give independent artists from around the world the chance to showcase their work. How? By allowing them to run the show.
The event was originally started in response to a commercial art fair taking place in Stockholm, and it still puts the focus firmly on lesser-known artists.
Supermarket includes several galleries, along with project spaces, stages and networking events, so visitors can quickly get a feel for what’s hot in Stockholm’s independent art scene.
For the first time in 2018, Supermarket will be held at ‘Slaughterhouse 5′ in the city’s Slakthusområdet (Slaughter House District). This is right near the city’s huge, sphere-shaped stadium – get off the subway at Globen.
