Forget ABBA and Avicii! In Stockholm this October, the cheesy pop and electronic beats will be replaced by swing, beebop, and rhythm and blues as the city’s music venues open their doors for the Stockholm Jazz Festival.
The event has been hosting top-notch Swedish and international jazz musicians for over three decades. In 2015 the festival hosted 26,000 visitors and it’s expected to draw large crowds again in 2017.
Some of Sweden’s best musical talents will be performing here, so soak up the smooth vibes or break out your best Lindy Hop moves at one of the thirty-five festival venues around the city. There’s a combination of free and ticketed events (up to around 695 SEK per person) to check out.
