Lights, camera, action! The Stockholm International Film Festival (SIFF) is back, promising yet more magic moments on the big screen. The event has grown to become one of Europe’s leading film festivals, with more than 150 films from 60 countries set to be screened this year alone.

Alongside the movies themselves, you can expect a range of other treats including a film quiz, parties, and even intimate ‘Face 2 Face’ evenings with some of the world’s top directors.

The latest incarnation of SIFF will also pay tribute to the life and films of Ingmar Bergman, the legendary Swedish director who was known for his brooding, black-and-white masterpieces.

In order to enjoy the vast spread of films on offer, visitors will need to purchase a membership card online or at any of the cinemas in Stockholm. This card also provides other benefits, such as access to free film screenings all year round.

This festival aims to provide a journey through the newest and best in film-making – including the funny, the poignant and the political. For devotees of the silver screen, it’s one not to miss.
