Want to hear a bit of new Nordic music? Then head along to Spot Festival in Aarhus, where concerts with crowds of anything between 50 and 3,000 look to ‘spot’ up-and-coming Scandinavian talent.
In recent years hundreds of different artists have played to the relatively small total of 8,000 guests. Many of these were international industry representatives, according to the festival’s organisers – so perhaps you’ll see a future household name playing an intimate concert.
Genres represented by the performing acts will be varied, and the festival is largely supported by donations from societies that support new rock and pop music.
As well as debut performances there will also be more established Danish and Scandinavian acts that hope to gain a more international profile.
The full line-up can be found on the festival website, where one-day or full festival passes can be purchased.
