One of Denmark’s most iconic sports events is the historic indoor cycle race ‘Six Days of Copenhagen’, which first took place in 1934.
For many years the event was held in the legendary Forum arena but later found a home in the Ballerup Super Arena in the Copenhagen suburb of Ballerup.
Despite the move, the race still has the same festive atmosphere that includes live music, family entertainment and a series of parallel races and events, making it a great experience for newcomers to the sport.
The main event sees teams of two riders compete in a series of cycling disciplines to collect points over the six days.
So pedal your way to Copenhagen to see if this year’s favourite ‘Par Nummer 7’ (Couple number 7) will race their red and white jerseys to an anticipated win.
