Forget those crowded city squares at the countdown to new year and try something different in the cold of Finnish Lapland. Why not spend the last couple of hours of 2023 in an Arctic snow hotel, 30km north of Rovaniemi?

Organisers Safarctic will pick up partygoers from their respective hotels before it all kicks off at 10.30pm. This is when you can cool down inside the icy venue while warming up for the big bang.

Dance the night away in the snow disco, grab a drink at the ice bar (we promise you it will be cold) and send the kids to elf school or to ride on the mini snowmobiles.

Meanwhile, you can all enjoy the hotel’s impressive ice sculptures, while staying warm wrapped in thermo-clothes provided by the company.

Enjoy the moment as the fireworks cast their bright colours upon the night sky and light up the surrounding fields of white. This might end up being your most memorable New Year’s Eve ever.
