During this festival at Stockholm’s Royal College of Music, some of Sweden’s future stars will offer up a healthy serving of jazz music.
With 50+ acts playing over a three-day programme designed, produced and performed by students of the Royal College of Music, the festival has a good chance of catering for all tastes.
Genres will range from heavy free jazz to swinging pop, though the boundaries between them become blurred and will be “finely tuned and messy, subtle and exuberant”, according to the festival’s organisers.
The festival is also free, so there’s no risk in heading down for a listen, even if word ‘jazz’ isn’t exactly music to your ears.
The Royal College of Music itself is one of Sweden’s oldest educational institutions, and recently moved to a beautiful new building in the centre of Stockholm.
