Beer fans gather will gather in Copenhagen this May for Mikkeller Beer Celebration, an international-class beer festival with plenty of scrumptious ales on tap.
Dozens of different breweries will be present at Øksnehallen in Copenhagen’s trendy Vesterbro to share their golden goodness with ale lovers from far and wide.
It’s not just the guests that will be international – in previous years, participating breweries have travelled from as far and wide as Chicago and China.
Mikkeller itself is a Danish microbrewery that was started in 2006 in founder Mikkel Borg Bjergsø’s kitchen. Since then, it’s achieved recognition nationally for the quality of its IPAs and stouts.
Tickets are available for one of the several different tasting sessions on offer and can be purchased through the festival’s website, where you can even download a running app to that tells you how far you’d have to run to earn a beer. See? Even the beer fans are health-conscious in Denmark!
