This two-day festival is proof that history lessons don’t have to be boring at all, and with around 10.000 annual visitors, Historic Days must be doing something right. Welcome to a journey back in time – not just in Danish history, but in world history and the major events that helped shaped our world.
Unlike other historic festivals, this one isn’t focused on one specific period in time but spreads its wings wide – from the Vikings to the world wars, plus fashion, food and music. No less than 130 events will be taking place across four different stages, where you’ll find everything from performances to debates, lectures and concerts. And in the outside area, you can witness dramatic, historic reenactments and admire old firetrucks and military vehicles.
Some 65 exhibitors will be on site, representing museums and attractions across Denmark. Lots of the events and talks will naturally be in Danish, but there will be big international names on stage too, and once the entrance is paid, it’s all included. Children aged 17 or under go free.
