Copenhagen Pride Week, Copenhagen

August 13, 2019 – August 18, 2019 all-day

There are bound to be some memorable and colourful days as Copenhagen Pride Week returns to the Danish capital in the middle of August. Like everywhere else around the world, this event is all about celebrating diversity, the LGBT community and equal rights.

Copenhagen Pride Week is not surprisingly the biggest of its kind in Denmark and usually attracts thousands of open-minded Danes and foreign visitors. Free concerts, debates and workshops will all be part of the festivities – not to mention the partying, of course.

The main event will see rainbow flags held high for the Pride Parade from Frederiksberg town hall to Copenhagen town hall. Its route runs more than 3 kilometres along main traffic arteries like Frederiksberg Allé and Vesterbrogade, before ending at the central town hall square. The parade kicks off at 1 pm and lasts at least a couple of hours – though the partying will surely continue long after.
