Copenhagen Jazz Festival is one of the biggest inclusive jazz events of its kind in Europe with over 250,000 participants.
During the happy summer event the whole city of Copenhagen enjoys nine days of music, with vibrant jazz filling its historic streets, squares, jazz clubs and concert halls.
One of the city’s oldest music festivals, the event debuted back in 1978 – this year marks the 39th edition of the Copenhagen Jazz Festival.
Ticket prices for the various concerts vary, but the festival doesn’t have to cost anything at all; plenty of free open-air stages will be set up throughout the city, fitting nicely with Copenhagen’s plethora of cafés and music venues to create a unique atmosphere, bringing the city alive with jazz from early morning to late at night.
The festival now also boasts an official app that can be used to view the full programme, daily festival news, descriptions of concerts and for navigation to venues.
