Petrolhead? Aarhus will be just the place for you as engines roar all weekend long when the Classic Race comes to town.
With a seaside track specially installed and temporary stands looking over the water, Aarhus provides a great backdrop to watch legendary cars from various race categories, including classic tourers, pre-1965 cars, 80s classics and, yes, motorbikes.
Drivers race through a hairpin bend, past a castle and even round a roundabout on the track, hitting speeds of almost 200km/h.
Eagle-eyed race fans may also get a glimpse of royalty as Denmark’s Prince Joachim has appeared with his Cortina Racing team in recent years.
The programme for the event also includes exhibitions and entertainment. Entry to the nearby theme park Tivoli Friheden can also be added onto the tickets.
