The annual Christmas market held at the Liseberg amusement park in Gothenburg is the largest one in Sweden and it certainly pulls out all the stops to create a magical atmosphere for visitors.
Five million lights will illuminate the park and a wealth of fun activities and experiences will be on offer. Stop by Santa’s workshop to watch his elves packaging up Christmas gifts, take a sleigh ride, skate on the ice rink and enjoy the sound of choirs singing Christmas carols.
History lovers will enjoy the medieval Christmas village, which will bring to life Christmas preparations from the Middle Ages. Mulled wine, roasted nuts, toffee apples and other Christmas delicacies will be on offer should you need some sustenance or warming up.
For a spectacular bird’s eye view of Liseberg all lit up, head across the road to Heaven 23, a panoramic bar with views over the whole city.
