Aarhus is filled with fun things to see and do all year round. The city is particularly worth a visit from November 20th onwards, when its Old Town Museum (Den Gamle By) will transform into a Christmas lover’s paradise.

Christmas at the Old Town Museum is much more than your standard Christmas market; it’s an interactive and immersive experience that aims to teach visitors how the Danes have celebrated Christmas through the ages.
The Old Town Museum is set up like a mini Danish town, with a square and buildings evoking different historical periods. Visitors can join an 18th-century Christmas party, purchase gifts for friends and family from the handicrafts market, examine Christmas decorations from various eras, and stroll through an enchanted forest full of Christmas trees.
A giant juletræ (Christmas tree) and stalls offering Danish Christmas food specialties will occupy the town square.
