The individual concerts are open to the public, while a conference for music professionals runs parallel. It’s an excellent chance for up-and-coming performers to showcase their talents to the audience and the industry, with awards like the Nordic Music Prize and Årets by:Larmer (by:Larmer of the Year) handed out during the festival.

The three-day event has been taking place since 1998, and since 2008 it’s been set in Oslo where a number of different venues host all the exciting concerts.

Tickets for each concert can be bought individually, and an early bird festival pass is available on the event’s website. Note that there are age limits at most of the venues, so check out the website for specifics.
