Borealis is not your average music festival, but rather an event where the boundaries are pushed with experimental music by both local, national and international artists. It’s an open-minded festival that embraces a wide range of musical genres with live composers, sound artists and improvising musicians.
This 17th edition of Borealis will see 35 events taking place over five days, spread across 15 different venues around the beautiful city of Bergen. From concert halls to warehouse spaces and galleries, the venues will host not only concerts but also film screenings, art installations, talks and workshops. The festival will even run its own online radio station during the month of March.
Big cultural institutions like Cinemateket, Bergen National Opera and Bergen Kunsthall (art hall) will be among the hosts, and tickets can be bought individually for concerts and events, or you can buy the official Festival Pass which covers all five days of music-related entertainment.
So come and journey into unknown corners of music and experience Bergen’s burgeoning cultural scene.
