Bergen Lights, Bergen

January 17, 2020 – January 19, 2020 all-day

2020 marks Bergen’s impressive 950 year-anniversary as a city, and a brand new event will see the light of day to celebrate this date.

Shining a light on the dark days of January, Bergen Lights will become the city’s second light festival – not to be confused with ‘The Party of Light’ that kicks off the Christmas-season at the end of November.

Like its older sibling, Bergen Lights will bring joy in the form of light installations across the city – with some even reaching the surrounding mountain peaks.

For three days in January, this festival will be the perfect cure for any post-Christmas low. It’s main feature is an atmospheric Light Walk that will guide locals and visitors along a light art trail through the city centre.

The full programme and other events will be announced soon, so check the website and find out how you can join in the celebrations of Bergen’s big year and see the city in a new light.
