You better travel on an empty stomach if you’re heading to Bergen at the end of January, where a crisp new restaurant festival will make sure you don’t leave hungry.
At Bergen Spiser (Bergen Eats) more than 45 local restaurants and cafés will be joining the table, all located in the heart of beautiful Bergen. It’s a great opportunity to discover the city’s thriving food scene, with local restaurants serving up special menus.
Whether you want to try traditional Norwegian dishes or international classics, a range of local brasseries, burger joints and gourmet restaurants will be offering everything from steak to sushi and vegetarian treats.
Check the official event website from August 12 onwards, when the selected menus will be published. The festival will also offer special gift cards through Matsentralen Bergen (Bergen Food Central) to those who can’t normally afford a meal out.
